I have not always believed in or accepted karma as being real, until I began to investigate Vedic Astrology.
Vedic Astrology is a very precise and accurate tool for assessing the outcome of our life issues.
As I began to assess the effects in people’s charts I was amazed at how accurate and precise the conclusions were. While my western astrology was good at profiling people’s behavior, Vedic was better at assessing the outcomes and the inclinations of a person’s life experience. From these observations it occurred to me that our experience in life goes far beyond the time of birth till the present.
During this period of reflection I also became aware consciously of a deeper and somewhat hidden element of Astrology. Past lives and how they can explain current and future behavior or decisions.
For beginner or inexperienced Astrologers who may not be aware enough, this hidden element of Astrology and life may seem unrealistic. While much of Astrology is learned and studied realistically, much of its depth must be revealed to the Astrologer consciously when they are open and ready for it.
In Western Astrology the meanings of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are attributed to unforeseen changes, but the idea of karma is seldom associated with them. Since Vedic Astrology does not use them it is of no concern, but the malefic planets, along with the house placement and aspects can reveal hidden difficulties at both birth and to come in their life.
To benefit ourselves and to heal or grow consciously we must transcend the limited and logical methods of Astrology and include the unforeseen purpose of our past life karma and intuition into it. A whole astrologer must learn to see into the chart of a person’s life holistically. We must move beyond just the effects into the causes.
To be comfortable with karma we must accept it exists in some form and that the events that Uranus, Neptune and Pluto bring are for the discovery and healing of our karma.
